Not many people have been driving for over 30 years, fewer have been truckers... and they have wisdom to share. Sandi is 71 years old.

This article brought to my attention a website for women in trucking  http://www.realwomenintrucking.com/

which I browsed and read an article http://therumpus.net/2009/09/the-rumpus-interview-with-trucker-desiree/  by Claire who interviewed Desiree who mentioned how rough and shitty it is on the roads and truck stops: "I had someone get my door open one night, but I had the seatbelts strapping [the doors] down so they left."

Desiree has her own blog and lets the outside world get a full understanding of truck drivers work conditions and the shortcomings of corporate rules versus drivers realities. http://truckerdesiree.com/

Such as "shipper and receiver facilities atmosphere that cultivates animosity toward truck drivers."

Respondents to the truck parking survey occasionally included observations that once their trailer was loaded or unloaded, they were expected to leave the property regardless of area safe parking conditions or their HOS. These same facilities enforce strict appointment times and often detain truck drivers well past scheduled appointments.

Mentioning the names of the shippers and receivers is a sensitive topic as many drivers fear retaliation for doing so. 2059 respondents skipped the “naming names” section in the national truck parking survey. Out of over 1800 respondents who did have the courage to answer question 35, Walmart was mentioned 1048 times as one of the worst."  http://truckerdesiree.com/2014/06/15/walmart-crash-hours-of-service-and-truck-parking/

The trucker didn't get the news flash to slow the hell down, the roads are wet, and two semis are already wrecked on the New Jersey Turnpike... but, he did save lives by wrecking his truck instead of driving safe... so there is that happy ending

Above: The road ahead, and his camera was taking that in to post, when he heard the semi behind

Below, out his back window

Running over the guard rail and not hitting him

And toward the end of the video you see someone hit the wrecked semi, becasue they too couldn't drive at a safe speed on the wet roads

Found from a friends Facebook post about WABC news https://www.facebook.com/ABC7NY

How about we slow down in wet weather instead of wrecking our rides?

Just another pile up on snowy roads video... yikes. Jan 8th, 2015 on the I 80

How? ! ?

Wow carpentry

No one has cited the creator/carpenter... but some have commented that these are made in the Louisianna state Penn in Angola
