Photographer Tim Scott from London took these terrific photos of Ken Prather's '62 chop top Type 2 on the salt... wow!
This image might seem familiar, as I think I ran in Hot Rod magazine when this van hit the salt, I could be wrong of course, but the image seems very familiar.
Ken installed a supercharged 355 sbc, and saved some money by not using a driveshaft. The TH-350 transmission yoke is connected directly to the Ford 8″ diff. On top of the engine sits a Weiand 6-71 supercharger which helps the engine produce 600 horsepower. The build took four years to complete and has been driven all over the US from Ken's home in Pennsylvania
You might recognize Tim Scott by name, he was THE photographer at the Windsor Castle Concours de Elegance in 2012 http://justacarguy.blogspot.com/2012/10/windsor-castle-concours-de-elegance.html
With the permission of Tim himself, and to see more of his photography ( I'll need some time to browse it myself!) go to https://instagram.com/roadrunner333/ for his Instagram, or http://www.fluidimages.co.uk/ for a more catagorical look at his photography.
It's damn good, from studio to salt, streets to castles... you're gonna love it
