just in time for easter, the Jeep Renegade has arrived at dealerships with dozens of easter eggs

not an easter egg, but the fog lights come on when you have the headlights and and turn the wheel, to light up the direction you are going toward. Notice the lights between the headlights and the foglights at the top of the bumper too

taillights with Gerry Can shape and the jeep grill in the center

the headlights have the jeep grill in the center

Jerry can X design in the middle of the D

the word Jeep in the seat fabric

the microphone for the phone system is the jeep grill

the Jeep grill design in the inside of the hatch

and the word Jeep under the package shelf

the military warning for areas that can't hold your weight, like the areo trim on the bottom runner

Jeep grill designs under the climate controls, and a topography map

also inside the center armrest storage compartment

and a Willys Jeep on the windshield

there are more, and different ones in the high dollar option trim level model, the Trailhawk

instead of the word Jeep in the seat material, it's a topography map

the Gerry can design in the cupholders

and best of all, the pushbutton ignition switch has the phrase "To new adventures!"

and bigfoot in the back window

the City of San Francisco streamliner train up close

Found on Shorpy.com which as you can see does a better job of posting up close detail photos of trains than any train website I've ever seen

the Ferrari 375mm owned and raced by Briggs Cunningham in the 1954 Le Mans, the two huge air intakes on its hood cooled the heat exchanged for the water cooled brakes

the Ferrari ran as high as sixth for drivers John Fitch and Phil Walters until a broken rocker arm slowed them down, the car eventually succumbing to a failed axle bearing. After the race, Briggs and Alfred Momo paid a visit to Enzo Ferrari to discuss the broken rocker arm. Ferrari refused to acknowledge Briggs’ assertion that a faulty part had been the main culprit in the Cunningham Ferrari’s failure to finish the race. Briggs was incredulous. It was the last business ever between the two men.

Alex Tremlis’s circa 1939 renderings for American Bantam, reportedly for the 1942 model year.

Here's a treat... design art studies for Kaisers that never were produced. by Frank Hershey and Rhys Miller

The Merced, the Fairmont, the Piedmont, the Golden Gate, the Haleakala, the Menehune, the Paneole,  and Del Mar

I love these old art pieces... they show how ridiculous designers are... when working on "Future" looks. Ever seen a "Future" car ever get made into production? Me neither. I don't know why they bother after all these decades of ridiculous "design studies" to keep drawing up cars they ought to realize will never be produced.

yeah, I like the art, but not the waste of time in trying to make UGLY stick around and get made into cars.

Look at the top two, there ain't no way that's going to get through the commitees and hit the assembly line.

Reminds me instantly of the other Kaiser design studies I posted 6 years ago  http://justacarguy.blogspot.com/2009/07/prototype-kaisers-that-never-made-it.html the Menehune, the Pele, and the Waimea (which was fabbed up into a single custom car)

with the quirk that the Waimea actually was custom fabbed into a car http://justacarguy.blogspot.com/2014/12/the-kaiser-aluminum-creation-inspired.html

All of this reminds me that there is now a tumblr for artwork like this http://oldcarrenderings.tumblr.com/
