C J Walker. Born in a log cabin, first free woman in her family, orphaned by age 7 from a family of recently freed slaves that were common sharecroppers on a cotton plantation. She made a company that sold hair care stuff to women. Died rich, stated that her company would only ever be run by women, and left a lot of money to charities and her kids, having earned millions. She was the first female self-made millionaire in America.
